Why Synovia “Coming from a software background, it has been a real pleasure working with Synovia. They have been more than willing to modify their programming or add to their product to
get us the information we needed—the information that we weren’t able to get anywhere else. The system is easy to use.
You load it up and you’re ready to go. And we don’t need a separate reporting system to put the data together.
Synovia Core does it all for us.”
Synovia Solutions Began with Synovia Core GPS tracking

How In two stages, the first outfitting 490 buses in spring,
with the remainder that fall
Synovia Core Solution “It gives us the information we need to identify and fix problem areas and helps us internally and externally. Internally, we can work with the drivers to improve the delivery of our students. Externally, we can answer parental concerns and react to any emergency immediately.”
Why Comparative Analysis “Initially, we used the system to look at on-time performance at the school level. Then we expanded our use of Core’s functionality to modify routes and stops that were being underutilized. We’ve saved time and money by being able to create new, more efficient routes.”
Why Custom Shop The district is also implementing a pilot program to monitor the temperature in the food service vehicles. “I’m excited to see this come to pass because Synovia has worked closely with us to develop the temperature monitoring system, ensuring the correct temps and enhancing student safety.”
Something More Synovia’s GPS fleet tracking tool was indispensable during Hurricane Ike. “We were able to track our own buses as we dispatched them to high ground before the hurricane hit.
Then we were able to accompany fire crews and bring relief workers into areas with downed power lines to help more people to safety. We tracked all the buses as they traveled through the community and the reporting functions allowed us
to be reimbursed by FEMA for our efforts.”
Bottom Line “I really can’t imagine ever being without it. It gives us information we need to make our operations more efficient,
more cost-effective and safer for our students.”
